Trustees Alan Milstead and Niall Macalister Hall have launched a new Friends of the Kintyre Way initiative with a refresh of one of the walking route’s main maps.

The ‘friends’ will help with promoting the Kintyre Way by encouraging members of local communities to get involved in improving the route and assisting with low-level maintenance.

The aim is to bring people together in practical conservation, while promoting physical activity and enjoyment of the outdoors. It is hoped the programme will also educate, encourage and support local communities in best environmental practices.

The Kintyre Way AGM takes place on Tuesday November 5 at 7pm in the Heritage Centre in Campbeltown. Anyone wishing more information should email
