A 23-year-old man was stopped and searched by police in Kirk Street, Campbeltown, on Tuesday morning last week and was found to be in possession of cannabis. He was charged and issued with a recorded police warning.

Theft of petrol

Police are investigating and appealing for witnesses after a driver filled up a van with fuel and drove off without paying.

The incident happened at 4.50pm on Monday September 2, on the forecourt of the Tesco Express, Paterson Street, Lochgilphead. The vehicle is described as a black Transit-style van.

Mobile phone offence

Police stopped a car on the A83 at Inveraray on Tuesday morning last week, as the driver, a man aged 44, was allegedly driving while using a mobile phone. He was charged and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
