Well done, Matt

It is amazing to hear of Matt McAllister’s recent successes, with the release of his debut album and plans for US and European tours.

It is also amazing to discover that a career in music was not Matt’s life-long dream, as is so often the case with aspiring artists.

Just because Matt found out what he excels at by chance and a little later in life than some, does not mean he has worked any less hard to be where he is today.

It may come as a relief to some of Kintyre’s young men and women who have recently received exam results or are approaching the end of their schooling that it does not matter if you don’t quite have your future all mapped out yet.

Town’s facelift

It is fantastic to hear that retailers in Campbeltown have the opportunity to receive funding from a shopfront improvement scheme.

Extensive work has been done to improve many of the town centre’s buildings structurally, much of it behind the scenes, so this latest scheme is the icing on the cake!
