James Williamson produced his best game of the season to hold off an improving Donald Brown in the Charles Hunter bogey competition held in warm, humid and breezy conditions at Dunaverty Golf Club.

James was +1 after nine holes and then proceeded to put together an excellent back nine to finish on +5.

Meanwhile Donald had gone to +4 0n the front nine only to fall back on the inward nine and finished on +4.

Result: 1, James Williamson +5;  2,  Donald Brown +4;  3,  Bill Brannigan +3;  4,  Sandy Watson +3;  5, Ken MacMillan +2;  6, Robert Cook  +2.
