Junior runner Kirstie Renton was crowned the champion of the under-16s’ 5k race at this year’s Great Carradale Canter.
Kirstie finished last Sunday’s race, which took her through Carradale’s streets and woodland, in 27 minutes and 37 seconds.
She was closely followed by second-placed under-16 girl, Niamh Quinn, who finished in 29 minutes and 10 seconds.
Both girls were ahead of second-placed ladies’ 5k finisher, Margaret Sinclair, and Kirstie returned home just before first-placed lady, Amy Armour.
