Despite almost being blown off their feet on the higher points of the course Malcolm Ronald and Harry MacLean managed to card net 68s with Malcolm getting the verdict on a better inward and holding off Steve Garret and Bill Brannigan who both recorded net 69s.

Harry MacLean had the best scratch score with a very respectable 78, two shots clear of John Dreghorn. CSS for the day was 66.
