Dear Sir

During a recent visit to Lanzarote I had the pleasure of meeting a gentleman and his charming wife who I understood came from Campbeltown and during our meal we managed to converse on a number of subjects.

The aspects covered were varied including our views on a certain TV programme currently being shown about Scotland but sport was a particular area of interest, especially rugby and how much Bill McClaren’s voice was missed in the coverage of international matches. At the same time I was somewhat fascinated by the fact that the gentleman was a keen follower of TMS – Test Match Special – and somehow I think there was probably some Yorkshire blood in his veins.

I would be obliged if you could mention this meeting in your paper and assuming the gentleman concerned reads the Courier and I am sure he does I would be happy to forward him a couple of DVDs which would provide much sporting pleasure. I can be contacted via Email at spuddy63@hotmail.com

Oh yes, Brexit was discussed, but of course we were unable to decide what would be the outcome.

David Coulston.
