Workmen surface scraped Hutcheon Road leading to the Grammar School as part of an upgrading project.

Last Tuesday Argyll and Bute Council road menders resurfaced the length of Hutcheon Road from Kilkerran Road to Campbeltown Grammar School’s entrance.

The work was part of the contract to build the new school which opened in February 2018.

An Argyll and Bute spokesperson said: ‘The council had been sub-contracted by the contractors at Campbeltown Grammar School to undertake some repairs at Hutcheon Road.

‘This is in fact generating income for the council.’
