Australian videoed horse racing helped raise the stakes for Campbeltown’s lifeboat at a masonic race night.

More than 70 punters, in the St John’s 141 Campbeltown Recreational Club, at the masonic hall bet on eight horse races during the recent evening.

In addition more than £160 from one pig race helped raise a total of £1,600 for the RNLI.

On Wednesday evening of last week, three members of St John’s Masonic Lodge, Tim Parr, Gary Milloy and Hugh Wilson presented a cheque at the lifeboat station.
