Dunaverty’s winter league is drawing to a close with only two scoring rounds left to count.
Alistair McConnachie leads the league with 197 points. It started in October and finishes on March 17.
The format is individual scores with the best five to count and only nine points cover the top five players.
McConnachie is just one point ahead of Robert Coffield, but David MacBrayne, on 192, cannot be discounted and he is chased by Alex Arkle on 190.
A little adrift is Don Hardman and vice-Captain John Brown, both on 188, competing for fifth although captain John Marrison, 184, may catch them.
A close finish is expected and all will be striving during the last two rounds.
The final day is March 24 when after a Texas scramble there will be a presentation meal in the Tea Box at Dunaverty Clubhouse.
