Courier readers may be as amused as I was to discover at the commemorative exhibition in Aqualibrium that the winner of the first Kintyre Drama Festival, back in 1949, was Highland Church Drama Club.

The club won with a play entitled ‘Sad about Europe’. Prophetic?
