Transport Scotland (TS) is to ask its contractor BEAR to fix pavements and drainage before resurfacing the A83, just past the 30mph sign at the entrance to Campbeltown.
This short stretch of road has been rough with many potholes for months.
In a letter to South Kintyre Councillor Donald Kelly, TS said: ‘BEAR will shortly begin work on design of a scheme which will combine drainage improvements, carriageway and footway resurfacing.
‘It may be necessary to postpone the planned carriageway resurfacing for a short period in order that the drainage improvements can be undertaken first.’
