Sir,

The bonus of the Kintyre Index was that you could read it – decent sized print, spacing between names and great for to find anyone.

Imagine the disappointment when the miniature, small print and busy effort appeared with the Courier.

Not user friendly for anyone far less for those with poor sight – can we request a large print version under disability discrimination – what happened to equality?

It is certainly not customer friendly.

Susan Paterson,

Southend.

Editor’s reply: Many seemed pleased with the re-design commenting that A5 is handier than A4 and more likely to find a place on the hall table.

The typeface is still considerably larger than that in the BT Phonebook and Yellow Pages. Plus, on pages 38 and 39, there is a mine of useful Kintyre numbers not found elsewhere grouped together.
