A Campbeltown hotel offering a vegan option and traditional fare says its alternative Burns night would have attracted the bard himself.
Ardshiel Hotel’s event on Saturday January 26, the day after Burns Night, offers dinner including haggis, neeps and tatties before a music session from 8.30pm featuring Anne Leith, Les Oman, Angela Paterson and a piper.
Posters advertising the party say: ‘Celebrate like Burns, Robert Burns knew how to party and we aim to create a night he might have attended himself with music and whisky.’
Southend holds its annual Burns night on Friday evening, at the Argyll Arms Hotel Campbeltown, from 7pm, featuring the Immortal Memory by Stewart McMillan.
Tickets for the Southend bash are available from many: including David 830223, Robert 830251 and Willie 553369.
The same evening, Whitehouse Village Hall committee hosts its Burns Night from 7pm.
At least two Burns lunches planned for Thursday January 24. The Rotary Club of Campbeltown’s regular meeting will incorporate a Burns celebration.
Campbeltown Old Pals will celebrate the Bard’s life at the Royal Hotel during its regular meeting.
