Shed break-in

Between 4pm on Monday December 17 and 9.30am on Tuesday December 18, there was a break-in at a Shed in Islay House Community Gardens, Bridgend.

Nothing was stolen and police are investigating and are appealing witnesses or anyone with  information to call 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Assault – witness appeal

Police are appealing for witnesses after one man assaulted another at 7.30pm on Thursday December 20, on Stanalane, Bowmore, Islay.

Drugs possession

At 12.40 am on Saturday December 22 in Shore Street, Campbeltown, a 20-year-old man was searched by the police and found to be in possession of cocaine and cannabis.

The man was charged with the offences and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Vehicle damaged

Between 7.20pm on Friday December 21 and 12.45am on Saturday December 22, on Jamieson Street, Bowmore, near to the Bowmore Hotel, a black Vauxhall Insignia car, was damaged and the passenger door dented several times.

Police are appealing for  witnesses.

Police assault at hospital

At 6pm on Saturday December 22, At Campbeltown Hospital, a man, aged 38 was arrested for allegedly behaving in an abusive manner towards staff. He resisted arrest and attempted to assault a police officer.

He was charged, held for court and a report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
