Piping hot mince pies at a St Kieran’s RC Church coffee afternoon awaited those brave enough to face the worst wind and rain for months.
As the rain poured and the wind howled on Saturday December 15, many decided not to leave the house but a warm hall, hot refreshments and jolly volunteers awaited those who did.
Despite the low number of visitors, the event raised about £250.
