Tree brownies bursting with baubles and jolly jam biscuits added to the festive feel of Tayinloan’s annual Christmas party.
The homemade treats were served in between party games, including Christmas corners, musical Christmas trees and pass the parcel.
Towards the end of the party, Santa popped into the village hall with an early Christmas present for each child.
As he was about to sit down, a carrot fell from his sack onto the floor.
‘My pesky reindeer must have been nosing about in this sack of presents and dropped a carrot!’ he said.
Two-year-old Arianna Gilchrist was quick to return it to Santa to make sure his reindeer were fuelled up for their Christmas Eve deliveries.
