Members of a  recently formed running club raced to its first awards ceremony.

​Cara McFadzean last year’s winner of the Handicap Series passes the cup to the 2018 champion Niamh Quinn.

Last Sunday, South Kintyre Harriers, formerly Campbeltown Junior Running Club, presented Erin Ralston with the cup for victory in its Cross Country Series.

In addition the winners of the 2018 Handicap Series were announced and last year’s winner, Cara McFadzean handed the cup to this year’s handicap champion Niamh Quinn.

The awards presentation at MACC base was followed by an orienteering session, party food and secret Santa.

The handicap results were: Girls: 1. Niamh Quinn, 2. Carla Renton, 3. Rianne Coffield and boys: 1. James Reid, 2. William Mclean and 3. Robert Kerr.
