A West Kintyre women’s institute’s jewellery lesson help them create a piece to take home.
Members of Largieside SWI experienced an evening of jewellery making at their November meeting in the village hall.
A Largieside spokeswoman said: ‘Under the expert guidance of tutor, and local member, Nora Parkinson, the ladies made some beautiful earrings which they were then able to take home.
‘Enid Williams presided over the evening , Denise McKeown gave the vote of thanks and Pat Rawson and Patricia Johnstone provided a lovely tea.
‘Nora very kindly judged the competitions and gave the following results :
Christmas decoration : Michele Seddon five points (pts), Denise McKeown five pts, Linda Hutchinson four pts, Adrienne Bradley three pts, Jessie Main three pts, Kath Lowe two pts, Pat Rawson one pt. Three mince pies : Kath Lowe five pts, Linda Huchinson four pts, Patricia Johnstone three pts, Helen Steel three pts, Pat Rawson two pts.’
