Argyll and Bute’s MP Brendan O’Hara has stepped up to help the region’s long distance footpath, the Kintyre Way (KW).

Mr O’Hara asked for a meeting with the Kintyre Way’s board to discover how he might help the 100 mile path down the spine of Kintyre’s future plans.

Currently KW funds are low but it has a number of subscribers and is trying to re-establish a programme of maintenance.

The charity which formerly administered KW, The Long and Winding Way Ltd shut down in 2016, after financial problems and four people were made redundant.
