A score of +4 saw a Dunaverty golfer take the top honours in the The Charles Hunter Trophy bogey competition.

Robert Irvine continued his recent good form by notching up his third win of the season finishing one clear of John Dreghorn on +3. John MacMillan still holds the record of +9 set in 2001.

Result: 1 Robert Irvine +4, 2 John Dreghorn +3, 3 Douglas Mack +2, 4 Hamish Taylor +1, 5 Robert Coffield +1, 6 Sandy Watson +1.

The August Medal competition was held in warm, dry windy conditions which proved quite difficult for the participants.

Making a rare appearance, former club steward Jim Cooper, lead the early starters with a nett 64 which he held until late afternoon, till Grant Edmondson pushed him into second place with a nett 63.

Campbell McCallum recorded the best gross score of 72. CSS for the day was 64.

Result: 1 Grant Edmondson 76-13=63, 2 Jim Cooper 88-24=64, Robert Shaw 83-16=67(bih), 4 Bill Brannigan 80-13=67, 5 Ken MacMillan 85-15=68(bih), 6 Campbell McCallum 72-4=68.
