We totally agree with Jan McCorkindale’s  remarks regarding the  road signage and safety of cyclists on the A83 and all associated roads.

Being regular users of these roads it is apparent that many cyclists refrain from wearing high visibility clothing and, also more significantly, do not use helmets for adults or children.

As a sport cycling is becoming more popular.

Perhaps cycling clubs and parents should be more vigilant to ensure use of these items before allowing anyone to use busy roads.

Ann and Tom Campbell,

Macharioch Shore and Motherwell.
