Members of Largieside SWI sailed the high seas on the group’s first ever summer outing.
The group voyaged to Arran and invited members from other SWIs in Kintyre to join.
On Thursday, June 28, 28 members from Clachan, Bellochantuy, Largieside and Whitehouse set sail on the 10.05am ferry from Claonaig to Lochranza.
When they docked, a Stagecoach bus was waiting to take them on an island tour.
After a short stop at Brodick Castle the bus continued into the village where members were free to have lunch.
At 1.30pm everyone gathered at the bus for the return journey to Lochranza.
Some passengers caught the 2.30pm ferry back to Claonaig but some stayed in Lochranza, prepared to catch a later ferry.
An SWI spokesperson said: ‘It was a wonderful day out as the weather was glorious, the company great and the journey very pleasant.’
