Campbeltown Free Church is embarking on a new summer venture called Free@Five.

From Sunday July 1 the George Street church will hold an additional weekly service at 5.00pm and extends an invitation to all.

Free Church minister, Rodger Crooks, said: ‘We hope that the time of five o’clock will suit many people.

‘We chose that time to enable families to come along and be home before the children’s bedtimes and so that there will be time afterwards for other activities such as evening dining, visiting with friends or a scenic walk.’

Dr Crooks added: ‘We are keen to welcome those who are on holiday in Kintyre as well as townsfolk and refreshments will be served afterwards for those who are in no rush away.’
