A few spots of rain last week failed to mar May which has been declared the warmest on record.

It particularly suited sailors at Campbeltown Sailing Club’s (CSC) reinstated Wednesday evening sessions organised by Kintyre Seasports Project’s Sid Gallagher.

The action continues this Wednesday, from 7pm and all are welcome, especially total beginners, as all specialist equipment is provided.

CSC’s Iain McGlashan said: ‘It is another good forecast for this Wednesday so some along if you can.

‘Wednesday evening sailing continues until  28 June. Club dinghies available to borrow and a shot on a yacht is also available.

‘Buoyancy aids and some wet suits can be borrowed. Potential new members are welcome, bring a friend.’
