Young firefighters who gave up their Saturday to run a charity carwash collected £810.

At least 12 Campbeltown young firefighters assisted by adults with two tenders hosed down cars in shifts outside the ferry terminal.

Watch commander Ronnie Souden said: ‘It was a very successful event and we would like to say a big thankyou to all the car owners who supported us.’
