Drivers preparing for the fifth MACC 1 rally have just two more stages at St Andrews and Crail before the race car caravan snakes into Kintyre.

This year’s rally, sponsored primarily by The Cobble Shop and with Kintyre sawmill Auchencorvie as an associate is on Saturday and Sunday July 14 and 15.

It is the second of two Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship events staged by Dunfermline Car Club (DCC) during the series and the first where spectators get really close to the action.

Organiser David Hatrick said: ‘The team at DCC works very hard behind the scenes for a considerable time to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible on the day.’
