A Campbeltown primary pupil smashed his way to indoor tennis success on his 11th birthday.

Daniel Semple won the P4 to P7 competition at Victoria hall on Tuesday afternoon and Jake McMillan was runner-up.

Daniel’s win came at the end of a five week coaching session,  for P1s to P7s, in association with Active Schools, run by three coaches: Catherine Dobbie, Valerie MacKay and Rhona O’May.

The sessions started again after the easter break on April 9 and 10.
