School’s not out for radio host

A Paisley presenter for community station Pulse 98.4FM returned to the playground of his youth at Campbeltown Grammar School.

Peter Greenwood, 31, took advantage of CGS’s down memory lane day last Wednesday to travel back to his roots and grill his former head teacher, William Crossan.

Mr Greenwood said one of his questions to Mr Crossan was: ‘How many children do you think you taught?’ ‘Approximately 10,000,’ said the church minister.

Mr Greenwood was born in Inverness and came to the Wee Toon with his family aged five. He completed his secondary schooling at CGS leaving in 2004.

He completed a media studies course at Jame Watt College before taking an HNC in radio production and has worked for seven years at a number of community broadcasters.

He added that his favourite thing about Kintyre was being able to kick off the pace of city life and unwind.
