The crew of Campbeltown lifeboat Ernest and Mary Shaw were paged at 5.10am this morning.

Nine minutes later they were heading to the rescue of a 90m cargo vessel, Emma, which was reported to have lost power, in the Irish Sea, enroute to Ayr.

The boat regained power and the lifeboat stood by as an escort to ensure the boat continued to make headway.
