Killean and Kilchenzie Guild members will get up close an person with Alpacas at A’Cleit next month.
Warm clothes are recommended when Glenbarr Garden Centre and Café proprietor, Zofia Sloan, brings some of her herd for inspection and talks at an open meeting titled: For the love of Alpacas on Wednesday February 7.
There will also be a bring and buy stall demonstrating guild members’ talents and the guild extends a warm invitation to everyone to this open meeting.
The Guild ended 2017 very positively, successfully increasing the membership and decreasing the average age by changing the meeting time from evening to afternoon.
More than 25 members and friends met at the Argyll hotel, Bellochantuy, for a Christmas lunch organised by Pat MacMillan, who was unfortunately unable to attend due to illness.
The winners of a love songs quiz, distributed at the October dedication meeting, were Ruby McMurchy and Pat Rawson, who received a goody bag of guild memorabilia from Marion McDonald, presbyterial council representative.
