Nearly 20 cyclists added a spoke to their knowledge at Kintyre Wheelers Cycling Club’s latest meeting, despite bad weather.
Sunday’s event focused on bike components and kit preparation as it was too rough to cycle.
A committee spokesperson said: ‘Well done to all who turned up today, 17 in all, which is not bad considering the weather.
‘Well done to Alisdair O’May and James Murdoch who competed in the Strathpuffer 24 hour mountain bike race which was won by Keith Forsyth who also won last year’s Kintyre Way Ultra.’
Samples of the club’s kit have been ordered and should be here in time for the next event, on Sunday February 11, subject to confirmation with MACC .
Club members are looking forward to this year’s Oban Sportive, whic is on April 22, with distances of 56 and 89 miles.
