Ten triples entered Argyll Bowling Club’s charity competition on Sunday in aid of Bonnie Babies charity, which helps premature and special care babies.

Rolling into action at 11am, teams played in two groups and finished at around 6pm, with a super last end by the winning team.

Great skill was shown throughout the day, including some great bowls from three of the club’s juvenile members.

The winners were T Christie, lead, C Robertson, second, and J Newlands, skip, with runners up R Todd, lead, D Brown, second and A Black, skip.

A club spokesperson said: ‘Thank you to all the entrants, their supporters, and bar and kitchen volunteers who helped to make it a great day and raised £175 for Bonnie Babies who provide knitted goods for premature babies and tiny babies in maternity units at home and abroad.’
