Billy Irving, a Campbeltown educated, pirate hunter and his fiancée Yvonne MacHugh will tie the knot in March.

Billy was freed from four years of ‘hell’ in an Indian jail after weapons charges were quashed by an appeal judge before Christmas.

Yvonne, 29, who campaigned tirelessly for Billy’s release, said she was ‘beyond excited’ to finally wed the 37-year-old ex-soldier, from Connel, on March 24 in Paisley.

After the announcement the couple, who have a two-year-old son, William, were swamped with good wishes.
