A Lochgilphead man who crashed into another motorist was fined at Campbeltown’s JP court.
George Kerr, 43, from 8 Dun Mor Avenue, Lochgilphead, pleaded guilty byletter to a charge of driving without due care and attention on the A83, near Tarbert, on August 18 last year.
Kerr struck a grass verge and rock face before re-entering the road and colliding with an oncoming vehicle, causing ‘extensive damage’ to both vehicles and injury to the occupants.
All were taken to Lochgilphead Hospital and the road was blocked for more than two hours.
JP Margaret McDowall sentenced Kerr, who had no previous convictions, to a £200 fine and three penalty points.
