Seasports goes global

Newspapers across the UK and websites in Russia, where the Beatles are still big news, printed details of Kintyre Seasport’s eBay auction of Paul McCartney merchandise.

The sale finishes at 8.56am on New Year’s Day. As the Courier went to press a total f £6,060 has been bid on all three items. Tracks Ltd which is running the sale, will take payment by instalment or payment cards.

Rodent wrecks radio signal

An Argyll FM presenter revealed that a mouse chewed  through a cable last week taking the station off air.

Mobile operator, EE, shares the same mast as Argyll FM. Despite repeated calls, it has never confirmed the reason for its five day outage earlier in the month.

Some customers have been offered up to a  free month on their contracts.

New Year party

There is still time to book for Scotia Bar’s town hall New Year’s Eve party with live music from Gubbed, plus a buffet and disco.
