Last Friday staff from Kintyre’s radio station, Argyll FM, sold raffle tickets at the Co-op on Friday and invited the Courier to pick the winning ticket live on air on Saturday afternoon.

During the visit one of the station’s founder volunteers, C0-op manager Colin Middleton, showed the Courier reporter a photo, from the mid-1990s, of a group of early volunteers who came forward for training in the community centre.  From left they are: ? McIntyre, Richard Dewar, Robbie Robb, Kenneth Kelly, Geoffrey Page, Dan Mcintyre, Alan Berry and John Campbell. NO_c50ArgyllFM01

Kay said the photo must have been taken in the ’50s or very early ’60s as the man on the right is her father, John McDougall from Tarbert. Next to him is Ian Campbell.
