Family and friends the party never ends, it’s Christmas time again,’ is the opening line of a Campbeltown charity single.

The single ‘It’s Christmas’  was written and recorded by the Woodlands music group and  is sure to be a hit this year.

Members of the group: Sarah, Jenna, Donald, Neenie, Mary, Jan, Sharon, Mairi, Jean, Julie, Margaret, Gillian and Kris began working on the score back in October.

A Woodlands Resource Centre spokesperson said: ‘Staff and clients pitched in good style with the burning and packing of the compact discs.

‘Everyone mucked in and it got us all in the festive spirit early.’


The group, in its 3rd year, has been busy in 2017. It has been visited by musicians including: David McEwan, Fyneside Barbershop Quartet, Lori Silvan and Scottish Opera which held a workshop.

In addition there is a singing group working with Makaton sign language

The CD is available for £1.99 or a donation if greater from George McMillans, the Yorkshire Building Society, Shopper Aide and the Woodlands Resource Center.
