Santa made a trip from the North Pole to Southend to meet some boys and girls who have been well-behaved this year.

He visited Dunaverty Hall’s Christmas fayre and asked the children what they hoped to get for Christmas.

There were teas, coffees, stalls and a raffle at the event.

Margaret McDowall, the hall committee’s treasurer, said: ‘We are very grateful to all who supported us as we raised an amazing £1,020.’
