EE mobile customers across Kintyre have had no service for at least 48 hours since Tuesday morning.
Campbeltonians using the EE network had neither a phone signal or any data connection during the outage, which began at about 10am two days ago.
An EE call centre worker said this was due to work on its infrastructure.
A spokesperson from Nelson Bostock, the external London-based agency which runs EE’s public relations, at first claimed that it was not a problem as EE has ‘no coverage’ in the PA28 postcode which covers Campbeltown.
Despite repeated requests for a comment Nelson Bostock has failed to respond.
