A Celtic harp player pulled at the heartstrings of Kilcolmonell guild members when she demonstrated her musical instrument.

Guild members and friends were ‘delighted’ to welcome Jenny Carlile, from Tarbert, to play the clarsach.

Margaret Mundell opened the recent meeting with a Psalm and a prayer, before Jenny showed how the clarsach is tuned and which notes the different coloured strings represent.

She played a number of familiar tunes which the guild members sang and hummed along to, and brought along a second clarsach which several members had a go at playing.

Jenny was thanked for giving the guild a lovely afternoon before tea was served.
