I would like to thank the population of Campbeltown and surrounding areas for their continued support and generosity in the annual Poppyscotland appeal.

Also thanks to the shopkeepers and licensed premises, in particular the Co-op and Tesco, for letting us use their premises, and looking after us.

My thanks also go to my able assistant Lesley Morrans, and Frances in Muneroy, as well as Sheila from Gigha for taking the poppies and tin to the island for me.

Finally, a thanks to Mr D. F. Mayo for his annual gift to the appeal.

This year we raised £3,333.53, a lot of money for the Wee Toon.

Since I started as the area organiser in 2012 a total of £20,068.58 has been raised, no mean feat in a wee town.
