Largieside SWI president Helen Steel welcomed a speaker passionate about plastic canvas creations to the group’s November meeting.

Mrs Steel introduced members to guest speaker, Enid Williams, at the meeting on Thursday, November 16, in Tayinloan Village Hall.

Mrs Williams gave a demonstration on working with plastic canvas and brought various examples of craft items she had made with it.

She showed the members how to use it themselves, each starting to make a box to be completed at home.

The hostesses for the evening were Pat Rawson and Patricia Johnstone, and the vote of thanks was given by Ann Clark.

Competitions results: Three cheese scones: Helen Steel 5, Linda Hutchinson 4, Ann Clark 3. Poem on transport: Linda Hutchison 5, Pat Rawson 4, Patricia Johnstone 3.
