Special outdoor Remembrance services will be held at 10.50am in Whitehouse, Clachan and Glenbarr, followed by a morning service in A’Chleit Church at 11.30am.
The service at Whitehouse war memorial will be led by Reverend Catriona Hood, at the Clachan, church gate war memorial, by Anne Parkhouse and Courier correspondent, Marilyn Shedden, will officiate at Glenbarr war memorial.
Rev Hood will lead the church service as close to 11.30am as people can gather from the villages.
It will be particularly poignant for Rev Hood as, almost 30 years ago to the day, on Wednesday November 11, 1987 her father Reverend James Hood died.
The previous Sunday he had conducted the Campbeltown remembrance service. It was too late for the Courier to change the church notices and he was listed to perform at Lorne Street Church the following Sunday, a service taken by Reverend Charles Henderson.
