As Boys’ Brigades (BB) across the country celebrate the organisation’s 100th anniversary, Campbeltown’s branch marked it’s own centenary service.

During the centenary and enrolment service in the Lorne and Lowland church on Sunday, the boys remembered the BB motto ‘sure and steadfast’ singing the BB song of the same name, and with that as the basis of chaplain Rev Phillip Wallace’s sermon.

To mark the special occasion a portable communion set was presented by the company to the church.

Jim Ewart of the junior section made the presentation on behalf of the company to Rev Wallace.

After the service the congregation was invited for tea and a cake and to view the exhibition of 130 Years of the BB in Campbeltown.

The exhibition will be be displayed in the library next year, from Tuesday January 16 2018.
