BOYD – MACSPORRAN – At Tarbert Parish Church, on November 2, 1957, by the late Rev Dugald McKinnon, John MacInnes Boyd, Oban, to Sheila MacSporran, Tarbert. Congratulations and lots of love from all the family.
CARVER – Peacefully, at the Mid Argyll Hospital, on October 20, 2017, Liam Patrick Carver, aged 87 years, of Caladh, 8 Kilmory Road, Lochgilphead, beloved husband of Elizabeth and loving father of Fraser and Shona. A good neighbour and dear friend to many. A private family graveside service will take place at Achnabreac Cemetery, today Friday, November 3, 2017. Will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
KELLY – Dee, loving wife of Tam, died peacefully, in The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, on Sunday, October 29, 2017, mother to Dale and Amber, grandmother to Taylor and Iris, and grandson Connor. Funeral to be held at Maryhill Crematorium, on Wednesday, November 8, at 1.45pm.
MACINNES – Peacefully, at the Mid Argyll Hospital, on October 26, 2017, Margaret MacInnes (née Darroch), in her 84th year, of ‘Davala’, Hillview Terrace, Ardrishaig, beloved wife of Neil MacInnes (formerly of MacVicar & MacInnes), dearly loved mother of David and Alan, much respected mother-in-law of Eva and Maggie, cherished and adored granny of David, Fraser, Joe, Calum and Coll and proud great granny of Fergus and Millie. Funeral service was held in Ardrishaig Parish Church, on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, followed by interment at Achnabreac Cemetery. Forever in our thoughts.
MACKAY – Suddenly at home, on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, after an illness bravely fought Georgina Louttit (Gina), Edgehill Road, Glasgow, beloved daughter of the late Lucy and Donald Mackay, Tarbert, and a much loved cousin and friend. Funeral service at Clydebank Crematorium on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 11.30am. All friends respectively invited. Family flowers only please, but donations if desired for Friends of the Beatson. Ashes to be interred at Tarbert at a later date.
FINDLAY – June and John would like to thank everyone for the many kind expressions of sympathy following their recent sad loss of Ewan. Special thanks to the doctors and staff in Acute Ward, also to Rev Philip Wallace for lovely service, and to Kenneth and Rhys Blair for their guidance, support and professional services. Thanks to the Argyll Hotel for the excellent purvey and to all who attended the church and graveside.
