A Christmas edition of a national homelessness magazine will feature a three-page article on Kintyre.

Big Issue reporter Malcolm Jack, and his photographer Louise Haywood-Schiefer, travelled to Kintyre to carry out research for an article to coincide with the 40th anniversary of Wings song Mull of Kintyre, written by Paul McCartney and Denny Laine, being the 1977 Christmas number one.

They interviewed various people who knew or met Paul and Linda McCartney including Professor Ron Roberts from The Linda McCartney Kintyre Memorial Trust, and Ian McKerral, Tommy Blue and John Lang Brown, who were members of the Campbeltown Pipe Band which performed on the track.

Look out for the piece in a December edition of the Big Issue.
