A former minister of Highland parish church will walk down once familiar aisles this weekend.

Reverend Mike Lind, who was the chairman of the Kintyre Action Group of the Scottish Bible Society (SBS) during his Campbeltown ministry, returns for a coffee morning promoting the charity tomorrow. In addition he will give a talk at a Kirk Street hall meeting on Sunday evening at 7pm.

The coffee morning is at the same venue from 10am to 12pm.

SBS partners with other societies round the world, for people to have the word of God in their own language.

Its current appeal is for Cambodia, where 20 per cent of men and 50 per cent of women remain illiterate and bibles are used to teach people to read.
