HADDOW – Peacefully, surrounded by his family, on October 15, 2017, Duncan Douglas Haddow, in his 64th year, Dunmar, Longrow, dearly beloved husband of Margaret, much loved father of Neil, Douglas and David, loving brother of Iain and the late Martin and a loved father-in-law of Jet. Service in the Lorne and Lowland Parish Church, Campbeltown, today Friday, October 20, 2017 at 1.00pm, funeral thereafter to Kilkerran Cemetery. Friends please accept this intimation and invitation. MACARTHUR – Peacefully at home, The Flush, Machrihanish Road, Campbeltown, surrounded by her family, on October 16, 2017, Janet MacArthur, née Morrison, in her 81st year, dearly beloved wife of the late Hugh MacArthur, much loved mother of Hugh and Georgina and a beloved sister and aunt. Funeral private.
MACFARLANE – Peacefully, at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, on October 12, 2017, Janetta (Netta) MacFarlane, née MacNeill, aged 83 years, of Rudha-Loisgte, Pier Road, Tarbert and formerly of Gigha, beloved wife of the late James MacFarlane, much loved mum of Mairi, Agnes, Elizabeth, Calum, Margaret, Jamie, Iain and Dugald and adored granny and great granny. Cherished sister of Angus, Malcolm, Kenneth and the late Betty, Mary, Ian, Duncan and Lily. A dear sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt and cousin to all the family. A good neighbour and dear friend to many. Funeral service was held in Tarbert Parish Church, on Thursday, October 19, 2017, followed by interment at Carrick Cemetery. Forever in our thoughts.
CAMERON – Jennifer, Fraser, Laura and Kate would like to thank family, friends and neighbours for the many kind expressions of sympathy received following the sad loss of John. Special thanks to Macmillan nurses, district nurses and doctors at Southend Surgery for all the kind care and attention over the last few weeks. Our thanks also to Rev Steve Fulcher for the uplifting service, to Kenneth and Rhys Blair for their caring and professional services, to the committee of Dunaverty Hall and to Argyll Bakeries for the excellent catering. Finally, our thanks to all who attended the church and graveside to pay their respects. The retiral collection for Macmillan Nurses, Kintyre Locality and Cancer Research UK raised £2,600.
MUIR – Kenneth, Sadie and Fiona wish to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for their kind expressions of sympathy following their recent sad loss. They would also like to thank the Rev Hilda Smith for very fitting tributes at both services, Mr R MacDonald for his extremely helpful, caring and professional handling of all the funeral arrangements, and the Stag Hotel for an excellent purvey. Most of all, they would like to thank all who attended the services.
WILLIAMSON – Isobel and family would like to thank everyone who sent cards, messages of condolence, letters and baking following the sad loss of her beloved husband, Jim.
