Once again, very strong winds beset golfers striking out in Dunaverty’s October medal.

Despite the adverse conditions Harry MacLean posted an excellent scratch score of 73 to give him a nett 63, three shots clear of John Marrison, enough to secure him the win and qualify for next season’s Muneroy Cup.

Result: 1 Harry Maclean 73-10=63, 2 John Marrison 84-18=68, 3 Bill Brannigan 80-12-68, 4 Robert Irvine 79-9=70(bih), 5 Danny Halliday  89-19=70, 6 Steven Garret 84-13=71.
